As venture capitalists are moving up the ladder to higher 
amounts, business angels are increasingly active in the very early stage of companies, and are required to invest in several rounds of financing for the same company as there is a lack of follow-on investment. This new equity gap concerns amounts from 1 million to 3 million €, depending on the country.
